LAY HO MA everyone! Thank you for joining me in this episode on how to make a matcha lava cake from scratch! Its much easier than you think! I hope you’ll try out this vegan matcha lava cake recipe!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp cane sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp matcha powder
1 tbsp oil (try coconut or vegetable)
a dash of vanilla extract
1/4 cup coconut or almond milk
1 or 2 pieces of dark chocolate
Directions:
1. preheat your oven to 375F
2. in a mixing bowl, add flour, cane sugar, baking powder, salt
3. add the matcha powder through a sieve
4. add your oil, vanilla extract, milk
5. whisk everything together into a batter
6. transfer your batter into a small greased ramekin
7. gently place your chocolate in the middle of the batter and carefully spread over some batter to cover the chocolate
8. bake for 20min and then let it cool for 2-3min
9. eat it out of the ramekin or carefully separate the cake onto a plate
10. serve with frosting, ice cream, compote, or fresh fruit!
